Harvests are 2x bigger when grown in a Quadgrow planter compared with growbags or pots.

Why the Quadgrow works

  • The Quadgrow SmartReservoir and FeederMat system keeps soil at the perfect moisture level, never too dry or waterlogged.
  • Perfect moisture means roots have better access to oxygen so they absorb more water and nutrients which fuels faster growth and bigger harvests.
  • There's no risk of any erratic watering which often causes root rot, split fruit and blossom end rot, so plants are healthier and stronger.

Easy to use

  • Place the Quadgrow's FeederMats in the pots, add compost and plants, and fill the Quadgrow's 30litre SmartReservoir.
  • Your plants will be perfectly fed and watered for around 14 days at a time on their own, or even longer with a Top Up Kit.

Self Watering!

The Quadgrow's FeederMats pull water up from the SmartReservoir into the soil around the roots – precisely where the plants need it - maintaining perfect moisture at all times. Growing an impressive crop has never been easier.

The Quadgrow & Top Up kit includes a water level controller which sits in the Quadgrow to maintain the level of water in the SmartReservoir - no need to worry if you can't get down to the allotment, or if your neighbours aren't able to water whilst you're on holiday!

This planter is a favourite amongst keen gardeners and chilli farms, and was nominated for best space-saving product by Grow Your Own magazine readers. Ideal for growing in greenhouses, polytunnels and on patios.

Optional Accessories

Pack of 4 Quadgrow Lids - £10.00

Cold temperatures can slow the growth of young plants and make them more susceptible to disease later in life. Give your young plants a really healthy start with these lids which protect plants from cold temperatures.

The adjustable air vent on the top of each pot gives you control over humidity. Each protective lid measures 27cm in height and was specifically developed to fit the Quadgrow pots.

Mulch Caps & Cane Support Kit - £25.00

Our set of 4 mulch caps sit on the Quadgrow pots and include grippers through which you can feed support canes.

  • Makes it easy to support your plants
  • Warms the soil to increase root growth which results in bigger harvests
  • Stops fungus gnats from laying eggs in the soil and eating the roots
  • Reduces evaporation

Our Cane Support Kit also includes a feeder tray which holds canes in place for hassle-free plant support - simply feed a cane through the mulch cap cane locator and the feeder tray cane locator. (canes not included)

Quadgrow Media Review - Roger Backhouse - Garden Writer & Allotment Holder

Our Quadgrow self-watering planter is a great alternative to growing vegetables in pots and growbags and is the perfect way to grow your own tomatoes. The Quadgrow planter produces healthier plants and bigger harvests by providing plants with constant access to water without ever over-watering.

What happens when we overwater?
Overwatering prevents roots from accessing oxygen and is the number one cause of plant demise.

When soil is over-watered the pores in the soil become blocked and the roots can't access the air in the soil. Roots need access to oxygen in order to absorb water and nutrients, so lack of oxygen means that the roots can't take up water or nutrients. A plant weakened by overwatering is susceptible to disease, particularly fungal attacks. If the over-watering is repeated the roots suffocate and die.

What happens when we under-water?
Underwatered plants don’t have enough water to make glucose for photosynthesis, for developing cells and for two other critical functions.

1: Transporting nutrients and glucose
Water is needed to carry nutrients from the soil and glucose from the leaves to the other parts of the plant. This is why the calcium deficiency blossom end rot is often caused by erratic watering even if there is sufficient calcium in the soil but not enough water to transport it to the tomatoes.

2: Accessing carbon dioxide
Plants access the carbon dioxide they need for photosynthesis by opening the pores on their leaves and stems. When the pores open they also release water. If the plant is short of water it won't open the pores as often and therefore it won't photosynthesise as much, which will lead to lack of glucose and stunted growth. Sunny, hot weather and windy conditions increase the rate of water loss through the pores, so plants need more water in these conditions.
